7. Washington D.C. (Week 17)
DATE: Sunday, Dec. 30
STADIUM: FedEx Field
TRAVEL TIME: Approx. 2 hours, 30 minutes (driving)
FLIGHT COST: You’re not flying. Amtrak cost approx. $78
WEATHER: 30 degrees on this day in 2017.
WHAT TO DO: Lincoln Memorial, White House, U.S. Capitol, Smithsonian, Kennedy Center, Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Capitals (NHL), Union Market, nightlife
FOOD?: Ethiopian food, crab cakes (though that’s more of a Maryland thing)
THE GAME: The Redskins should be about average, as they often are. The Eagles should win this game, though divisional match-ups are never easy.
THOUGHTS: The timing of this trip knocks it down a notch, otherwise Washington D.C. can be a fun place to be, even though it’s rather expensive. This is the Eagles’ last game and they might be motivated to rest their starters, plus it takes place in December when it should be extremely cold.
